Patience is a Virtue

Oh yes, it's such a cliché. When I was in college and even when I started working, I told myself and a few questionnaires that I am a patient person. Now that I'm older I'm unsure if I am. I get irritated when there are long lines or when people at the counter don't seem to work fast enough. But there are some situations that I think that I'm still patient and it's more directed to my relationship with people rather than circumstances.

Why am I talking about patience? Because it's been a week already and I have no comments on the posts that I wrote and my Adsense application is awaiting approval. I know I shouldn't be impatient about this considering I have no idea how Adsense works and I'm not a writer. Not even kept a diary long enough to say I like to write stuff. I'm just here trying this blogging thing and preparing myself for a change in career when I decide to quit working 9 to 5. So help me to be patient...

Cagayan Province

Years ago I and a few officemates roadtripped up north. It was a very memorable trip, all the new places that I saw and the experience of getting there. See, it's memorable I'm writing about it five years later :-)

The trip was organized by someone who hails from Tuguegarao City. We didn't bring a car with us so we got on a bus to Tugue. Arriving there we went to Callao Caves and took a dip and tried to kayak on Pinakanauan River just below Callao. The water was clear and clean. We also visited Our Lady of Piat. We rented a van for our trip to Sta. Ana, the northeast tip of mainland Luzon. Along the way, we stopped by Iguig with their Station of the Cross hills. We even detoured to Aparri. Sta. Ana is a small fishing town. We stayed at CEZA "hotel". From there, we got on a banca that I think is too small for all of us. We went to Gotan Beach which was beautiful and inhabited. After swimming and having lunch, we proceeded to go to Cape Engano lighthouse which I think is in Palaui Island (correct me if I am wrong). Man! The waves are big and all of us were praying the rosary. One side is an open ocean, the other side a wall of rocks, and just one big wave could smash us to the rocks. But arriving at the island and going up the lighthouse was a sight to behold and a memory etched forever.

One must go to Sta. Ana and neighboring islands before it gets commercialized but be sure to rent a bigger banca, wear lifejackets and probably go on a good weather day. Have fun!

Megan Fox's Legs

She's hot and she knows it. (Click on title to see what I'm talking about.)

With the world tour of Transformers, Megan Fox got to show off her sexiness with the different gowns that she wears to premier nights. It's a girl's fantasy.

Now, do her co-actors get affected (still?) with her sex appeal?

Independence Day

I spent the 111th Independence Day celebration weekend with a little vacay in nearby Tayabas, Quezon. It's a relatively short trip and my husband and friends took the Rizal route. Having some friends experience for the first time the joys of road trip always makes me feel good. We didn't make a stopover until we got to the Kamay ni Hesus shrine.

After lunch at Kamayan sa Palaisdaan, we headed straight to Graceland Estates and Country Club (http://www.graceland.com.ph/). The place is a beauty albeit a For Members Only resort. It's a place to relax and just spend the day by the pool or by the lake. There's also a basketball court and driving range. One can also rent bikes and go fishing. The restaurant is good enough and offers the regular Filipino fare.

On our way back to Manila we decided to stop by Liliw, Laguna for some shopping. My oh my, the road going there via Majayjay was hilly, I mean really, you go up and down steepily. It's a back road on the side of the mountain where you see nothing else, it's scary. I don't think I want to go that route again.
The Skyway construction in SLEX is such a bummer. Now it's back to reality, sigh.
